Haynes Traithlon Manual by Sean LerwillAfter the publication of my second book this January: The Haynes Guide to Running, Haynes asked if I would like to write their Triathlon guide. Despite the (obviously) mammoth task, I jumped at the chance to write another book, especially one on such a popular and up and coming subject.

With the great success of the Brownlee brothers at London 2012 Olympic Triathlon, I though it was time to write a post on here announcing my new book.

The first draft of the manuscript was completed at the end of July and the editor has now sent it back to me with queries/changes. We have completed our Photoshoot utilising the gym and pool at Exeter University and the amazing scenery and landscape of the North Devon coast. Our models were absolutely superb, featuring Maxifuel and Timex sponsored triathlete Melissa Brown, Royal Navy Triathlete Mhairi Muir and women’s fitness favourite, professional sports model and actress Kate Braithwaite. To even it up from the three girls, I threw on a pair of swim trunks as well! Our photographer was Guy Harrop who was nothing short of infectious with his enthusiasm for getting some amazing shots.

We have been very lucky with some brands who have provided us with kit and equipment for the photos of the book, specifically Zoggs, who have literally gone out of their way to accommodate us with more than we asked for. Zoot, 2XU and of course Maxifuel.
