Following the interest of last weeks post on the circuit I put together for Sticky prior to his 1000 miles of Parkour, here are a few photos from the Hypoxic training sessions we did together.

For those of you that don’t know, Hypoxic training is basically training at reduced oxygen content to increase athletic performance. Most people know it as altitude training. The gym I provide my personal training from (The Third Space – 2010 and 2011 Health and Lifestyle Award winner) has a Hypoxic chamber for just this purpose, where the oxygen content is reduced to around 15% (compared to normal 21% in the air we breathe).

I am lucky enough to PT from The Third Space and my clients, especially those trying to increase their running (works well considering I just released my running book!), can exercise at altitude, increase their red blood cell count and thus increase their performance.

Well, Sticky and I did a few LONG sessions in the Hypoxic chamber to try to help him prior to his epic 1000 miles. Anyway, here are a few shots from our run in the hypoxic chamber at The Third Space.
